Natural stone paving, coping and stepping-stones were incorporated into this custom swimming pool design to compliment the Tuscan style architecture of the house. Travertine stone and turquoise water were conceived as a unit, to form a complimentary relationship with the grand scale of the home and the expansive blue sky that frames it. The result is a large pool that also becomes a water feature design that expands the look and feel of the home into the surrounding grounds.

The semi-circular pool edge mirrors the circular tower of the house while a recessed stone retaining wall sits slightly below the pool coping giving the illusion of a vanishing edge from inside the pool.

The cabana was similarly integrated by designed and materials, and located to take full advantage of the swimming pool landscape design as well as the dramatic scenery of the surrounding valley.
